The hidden subject is actually a large sleeping dog stretched across the snowy landscape. Its fur blends so naturally with the snow and surrounding shadows that the animal initially appears to be part of the terrain rather than the main subject of the picture.

Look toward the darker area on the left. What might have seemed like a shadow or part of another figure becomes the dog’s head. A quiet eye, floppy ear, and partially concealed snout begin appearing once your brain knows what to search for. From there, the animal’s enormous body extends across the image.
